Puh.. I made it happen.. and can take it of my todolist…
I allways wanted to write this tag and it was allready swirling around in my head for some time.
Now there where some issus that had to be solved before I could take the Satay Method serious.
If you would use the method like in the example posted at alistapart.com you could display some movies but it wouldn’t allow you to pass query paramters (FlashVars) to your Movie anymore.
Also you couldn’t use the standard parameters like showMenu, Quality and so on.. anymore. I fixed this issus with an improved Container.
The Best thing I included ic.fla witch represents the improved container I have written for you to read or to use it as a starting point for your modifications… BUT YOU DON’T NEED IT AT ALL. As the plugin takes care of the hole container trip for you… I “compiled” the container right into the plugin.

Example Usage:

This implementation of Flash Satay takes care of it and also gives you the controll over the following parameters:

• id
• style
• class
• quality
• scalemode
• movie
• showmenu
• flashvars
• bgcolor

And on special parameter:

• forward (expert)
